(Sunday) Arrive at the Ranch and settle into your cozy cabin. Youll want to reach for your boots and hat and head for the horses. After a short orientation we will introduce you to your horse, then put your foot into your stirrup and swing into the saddle. Were off to The Rimrocks for a 3 hour ride. This superb trail offers a combination of open hillsides, woods, meadows and vistas of immense magnitude. Look north toward Glacier Park, east for a hundred miles over the Great Plains that Lewis and Clark explored and southwest into the Scapegoat Wilderness.
Our resident chef creates scrumptious western dinners and desserts with you in mind. For your evening enjoyment and entertainment the Ranchs head wrangler lights a streamside campfire along Ford Creek for you to pull a chair around and gather with other riding ranch guests.
(Monday) Range cattle call the Ford Creek Plateau home in July and August. Ride among several breeds of cattle in high open country, then swing your horse up into enormous high country elk migration routes of the 3000 head Sun River Elk Herd. Vast grasslands surround you in every direction on this 5 hour ride.
(Tuesday) Ride your horse over a beautiful scattered timber pass through woods, creek bottoms and meadows ending at Smith Creek Falls for lunch. Return to the ranch while riding along glittering streams, through sensational wildflowers and stirrup-high wild grass and cattle. A harmonizing 5 hour ride for horse and rider.
(Wednesday) Crown Mountain might be the most spectacular place to get pictures of you on your horse with big canyons in the background. This is an all time favorite 5 hour ride with our guests, tremendous canyon country, Indian Paintbrush in five colors and huge waterfalls.
(Thursday) Renshaw Lake and North Fork View This rates as one of the most awe inspiring rides in Montana. Ride for 6 hours through scattered pines, climb into huge canyon country, tie up and eat lunch at the top of the world overlooking the "North Fork of the Sun River" with hundreds of square miles of Bob Marshall Wilderness in front of you. Step onto your horse and ride 1000 feet above a huge blue alpine lake while descending through elk migration country that few people have seen. A huge circle ride that must be experienced. Your friends wont believe your pictures.
(Friday) South Fork of the Sun River the Bob Marshall Wilderness and Pretty Prairie. Smell the pines as you ride your horse along a sandy, meandering, riverside trail. Splash your horse across blue ribbon trout streams along the way. A truly relaxing and gentle 5 hour ride through some of Montanas finest remote riding country with lunch along the South Fork of the Sun River at "Pretty Prairie". Kick back for a short snooze or enjoy watching your horse nibble young grass streamside before you head him home.
Afternoons are rounded out nicely with quality stream fishing for rainbow, cutthroat, brook and brown trout right out your cabin door and many other nearby locations so bring your rod. <> We supply trap guns, clay targets and shells for your trapshooting enjoyment along with your personal instructor and assistant for an exceptional shooting experience. <> Our state of the art bows, arrows and targets offer an exciting yet tranquil afternoon option, back at the ranch.

(Tuesday) Leave the ranch early in the morning with professional guides, packers and a string of pack mules. Head over the top of "Crown Mountain" and settle into "Cigarette Creek" in the "Scapegoat Wilderness" for three sensational days and two nights of high riding adventure on horseback.
(Wednesday) Ride from camp on your gentle horse into "Green Fork"; one of the prettiest canyons in the world
cascading waterfalls, deep blue lakes, rim-rocks, caves and scenery far more incredible than anything you can imagine awaits you.
Loop to "Scapegoat Mountain"; the south end of "The Chinese Wall". This mammoth piece of solid limestone extends 2000 straight up and reaches 3 miles wide. It is truly one of the most spectacular sights in the world.
See "Cave Creek", the "Dearborn River" and "Halfmoon Peak" as you ride through country that few people have ever seen. This enormously remote area is seldom ventured into and gives you the feeling it is all yours!!
(Thursday) Ride out of the Wilderness through "Welcome Pass", gradually descending back into the foothills of the "Rockies" and "Great Plains". By late afternoon you will be back at your cabin for a shower and fresh clothes, possibly shoot some trap, refreshments and dinner.
(Friday) Choose another ride from the Ranch or sit back in cushie comfort aboard Captain Daves sleek custom pontoon. Let him personally guide you on the magnificent "Missouri River" and "Holter Lake". This is Montanas premiere water wilderness and the vary same route that "Lewis and Clark" mapped in their dugouts nearly 200 years ago. The shore-lunch alone is worth the trip. This is an all day cruise that horsemen never forget.
